From the master of Japanese flower art comes an encapsulated environmental system inspired by nineteenth-century technology—popularised by British aristocrats—designed to display and protect precious plants, often transported far from their place of origin. A gift from the artist to David Walsh, Paludarium HIROMI is an intricate living artwork, blending elements of aquatic and terrestrial environments, and home to a bonsai tree endemic to Tasmania.
