Bring the kids along to our free, nightly interactive workshops. Beeswax candles can be created and taken home, while the kids learn about the crucial role of bees, as well as how honey and honeycomb is made.

WINTER FEAST

Our free, nightly family activities are designed especially for the kids. They’ll join Beekeeper and Educator Jenni Mcleod of The Bee Collective for an interactive workshop.

In Saturnalia tradition, wax candles were given as gifts to signify the return of light following the winter solstice. The workshop will encompass the creation of beeswax candles to be taken home, while the kids learn how honey and honeycomb is made, and the crucial role of bees as part of biodiversity.

All areas of this venue are accessible, with the exception of a small section of the Salamanca Lawns. Accessible parking is available nearby in the Abel Tasman Car Park off Salamanca Place during event hours.
