Lonnie Holley

The revered junkyard artist and visionary musician sings and improvises to make sense of a troubled America.

Ahead of hitting the stage, Lonnie will be artist in residence at Altar—our new live music den—where he will create devotional, sculptural objects that celebrate the detritus of Hobart’s urban landscape. These objects will live on at Altar after the festival.

You’re invited to come along to Altar and watch Lonnie at work (and even participate, if you’re lucky) in his makeshift studio.
