Heed our words (or do whatever you like).
1. Explore Hobart
This year we’re taking over the whole city. There’s an abundance of free art to explore, at your leisure. Be prepared to put your gumboots on and dress for all kinds of weather. There’s no right or wrong way to carve out your path through the city—it’s all about the journey, as they say.
Download our maps here.
Pre-order a program or buy one at the info booth during the festival. Limited quantities available.
2. Go See Our Free Events
There’s heaps of free art this year—it's scattered all around the city so you can curate your own Dark Mofo experience. Be sure to check out festival essentials like the Ogoh-Ogoh and Nude Solstice Swim. The Winter Feast is free after 9pm and features a diverse lineup of live music. Free events will not require tickets, but may require registration, which you can find on the event page.
3. Book Your Tickets
Tickets sell out fast, so get onto your desired events ASAP.
For sold out events, your best bet to get tickets is to join the waitlist, and we’ll notify you if any become available.
4. Head Into the Night and Get Amongst It
Print out a map, or grab a print program for $10, and start exploring. Most Dark Mofo venues are within walking distance of the CBD, including festival hubs—Winter Feast and Planet-X. The rest is up to you.
5. Visit the Info Booth For Further Queries
The info booth box office is a resource for tickets, maps, programs and general information from our friendly staff. You’ll find it at the Morrison Street Car Park, Salamanca.
