Dark Mofo + City of Hobart Winter Feast Fire + Ice
Winter Feast Stuff for Kids
Fire + Ice

Bring the kiddies along to our free, nightly family activities, where they’ll learn about native ingredients: head to the ice tables on the PW1 deck to taste, touch and smell native Tasmanian angasi oysters and compare them to introduced, farmed Pacific oysters; or, take a seat in the fire circle on the lawns and use sticks to cook and eat warrener (native periwinkles). Over by the main stage, join the long communal table and smash roasted Nicola spuds with sour cream, sea salt, crisp saltbush and kunzea—a dish inspired by Melbourne restaurant Miznon. Tasmanian Aboriginal Elders will tell stories about the native ingredients at each activity, too.
